Modern Traditional Home Tour with Maven Design House
We’re thrilled to bring you another home tour! Today’s tour showcases a stunning home in Rockwall, Texas, recently renovated by homeowners Brooke and her husband and designed by the Maven Design House team. This home was once featured in the TV show Dallas, and you can see the rich history embraced by the modern touches the design team brought in!
Dining Room
When you enter the home, you’re greeted by the dining room with a stunning mural and a moody green paint color—Vintage Vogue Green by Sherwin Williams. The dining table is from West Elm, and the chairs are from Bed Bath & Beyond. Megan from the Maven Design House team couldn’t recall where the chandelier was from, but I’m sure she’ll hunt down the link if you reach out! This design team does not gatekeep.
In this room in the video, we also discussed these stunning floors. They’re beautiful engineered hardwoods from Müller Graff in the Fort De France Line, in the color Oak Elise.
Living Room
In the living room, you see Sherwin Williams’s Vintage Vogue repeated on the built-ins. Brooke found the frame for the Frame TV on Amazon, of all places. It’s ready to be the perfect piece of “art” to be displayed. The team chose the perfect mix of furniture in this room to provide ample seating and a cozy, welcoming feel.
This wallpaper was ORIGINAL to the home, and I love that the Maven Design House team gave the room a refresh by simply swapping the mirror and vanity while celebrating the classic wallpaper.
Kitchen
Brooke shares that this is her DREAM kitchen and we’re not confused why! It’s classic, elevated and loaded with character. The range is a Ilve which we’ve seen in so much of our home tours. Brooke shares that she doesn’t love to cook but she does love to look at her stunning range 😉
The floors are brick which in previous home tours many have asked home to clean. Brooke shares that she cleans them the good old fashion way by scrubbing on her hands and knees. These floors are very forgiving and hide dirt from kids and pets so they’re perfect for those who are looking for that!

Dining Room
The sitting nook in the dining room is such a moment! This space stopped my scroll and was when I knew I wanted to share this home with you all!
Laundry Room
This is both a laundry and a “back kitchen” where you’ll find double ovens and more kitchen storage. It’s beautiful and LOADED with utility. The wallpaper is from Lulu and Georgia and totally worth the splurge. I’ve never wanted a dog wash more than I do now!

Pool Bath
The pool bath was also so inspiring! The tile from Bedrosians and the mixed metals had us ready to get adventurous in selections on bathrooms we’re working on!
Upstairs
Upstairs you see the girls rooms with more stunning wallpaper. I decided this home is going to be my inspiration when I’m hunting for wallpaper because their selections are just perfection!
