People regularly come into the store and say, “I really love this {Insert furniture piece}, but my home isn’t farmhouse enough for it.” So many people believe that the only way to introduce things they love from a new style is to start over. This is why I love sharing my mom’s home tour. This home went from tuscan to farmhouse without fulling gutting the house. 

What I love about the transformation of this home is that many of the old elements were left in the new design. The tile for the floors and the backsplash along with the granite made for a perfect tuscan style kitchen. Although it would have been wonderful to choose all new flooring and counter tops, it just wasn’t cost effective. With A LOT of white paint the tuscan elements quickly softened showing that you can mix styles in a way that refreshes your home, but allows you to keep what you once loved from a previous trend whether it be traditional, farmhouse, modern, tuscan, etc.
