New Construction Classic Christmas Hour Tour

We’re so excited to have another Christmas home tour for you today. This home was featured in the Rockwall Holiday Home Tour. This is Robin Stanley’s home which was newly constructed this year. This home might be new but it’s timeless and loaded with character. You’ll love the holiday decor and be able to use this inspiration for your everyday home design as well.

You wouldn’t believe that Robin moved into the home in September and had it completely decorated and ready for this tour in December! I’m so impressed with how quickly she put every single detail together. You’ll love watching the video and then slowing down and taking in the details with the photos below.

LIVING ROOM

The entertainment spaces welcome you into the home. I think that’s what we really took away, is the fact that it is so centered around family and gathering, and we could just envision ourselves in the space. One thing I love about this home is that it’s a very open floor plan, but every space is dedicated to its own purpose.

In the living room, the seating is centered around the fireplace. This is my favorite living room layout because I can imagine so many wonderful conversations happening with this seating arrangement. Her mantle has a Frame TV mounted over it with a stunning gold frame. We were having trouble getting art on it before photos but it’s still stunning with the screen powered off.

Her tree is perfect with classic colors. One fun detail is the ribbon tucked on both sides that say “thrill of hope.” It’s a sweet detail that reminds us of the reason for the season.

Directly off the living room are two spaces that add a layer of function and coziness. The first is the office with a perfect spot to cozy up with a cup of coffee. It was fascinating to learn that this chair was from Arhaus. She wanted an ottoman and so she found one while at an estate sale and recovered it with a fabric from Hobby Lobby that was the exact fabric on her Arhaus chair. You’d never think that Arhaus and Hobby Lobby would have the same suppliers but it’s fun to learn that they do. That’s a good lesson to always keep your eye out and be resourceful when shopping for home decor.

She also has a small sitting area across from the living. It was going to be a part of the porch but they included it as a space indoors and it’s such a fun little sitting nook to enjoy. I love that she gave that space its own tree.

DINING ROOM

The dining room is sandwiched between the living and kitchen perfect for memories with family and friends. One thing I love is that Robin left this area without a chandelier. You’ll notice there are only can lights in this space. This makes the space more versatile. You could move the placement of the table or get a new shape table or even make it a little sitting area and move the table to the nook on the left side of the living. The possibilities are endless here.

Robin has a beautiful hutch filled with red and white dishes in this area. She also put tiny Christmas trees in the teacups adding so much whimsy and holiday spirit. She tops it off with a garland draped over the hutch with oranges. We’re loving the citrus in holiday decor this year!

BUTLERS PANTRY

This butler’s pantry is absolutely dreamy. I love the blue and the citrus wallpaper! Robin shared that she didn’t know that the scale of the print would be so large but after it was all installed she loved it and I couldn’t agree more. I also love that she included oranges in the garland in this space!

GUEST ROOM

If Robin ever has me over to stay in the guest room she’s going to have trouble getting me to leave. This room is simple and classic but still rich in character with the vertical shiplap molding along with antique furniture. The guest room shows that no room was left without thought in this home.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

And now on to the beautiful primary bedroom. We have another bold pop of wallpaper with this hydrangea print here. The blue and green are such a pretty combination.

The primary bath is just as dreamy with a bright and airy look. I love the gold touches including the mirror by the bathtub. It would feel like I was at a spa every day if this was my bathroom.

SCREENED IN PATIO

This room is another amazing gathering space for family and friends! It’s large and open with tons of function. You’ll find a dining area as well as a sofa seating area around an outdoor fireplace. She also has a Christmas tree in this room!

I hope enjoyed touring Robin’s home! We had so much fun and are so inspired by this beautiful home.
