Green Kitchen Cabinet Inspiration + Best Green Paint Colors

Green cabinets are a trend and I’m such a fan! I painted the cabinets in my previous home and I loved that the color felt neutral and bold all at the same time. From a lighter olive to deep green, the choices are endless and it’s hard to make a bad one with this nature-inspired tone. Let’s get to the inspiration.

INSPIRATION ONE – REBBECA GIBBS DESIGN

I stumbled upon Rebecca Gibbs on Instagram and she is so worth the follow. She and her husband build beautiful homes in Abilene, Texas from start the finish. This kitchen has so many unique beautiful features I can’t decide what my favorite part is. If you’re nervous to go all-in on the green trend this olive tone is the one for you. The paint chip shows a more brownish color but on those cabinets, they sure do have a green tone.

INSPIRATION TWO – REBBECA GIBBS DESIGN

Now, this kitchen is GREEN! This one is also designed by Rebecca Gibbs and here I deem her queen of green. The cabinet color would be bold, but pairing it with green tiles took it to the next level. The warm wood tones add the perfect amount of charm to this beautiful kitchen.

INSPIRATION THREE – FIRST SENSE INTERIORS

I love a blueish green. It’s sophisticated and gives you flexibility in the design. The designer Meera said she sees blue here, but her husband sees green. Do you see more blue here or green? I’ve never heard of this paint brand that Meera used, but it’s an amazing color!

INSPIRATION FOUR – JACLYN PETERS DESIGN

When I was initially looking for kitchen inspiration Jaclyn Peter’s kitchen consistently caught my eye. Jack Pine by Benjamin Moore is definitely a color I plan to keep in my back pocket for future projects. Also, I love how great it looks with the wood detail on her island. That’s such a fun, creative way to add character.

INSPIRATION FIVE – EMILY HENDERSON

This kitchen designed by Emily Henderson is such a dream. I love what Emily said about the color, “We tested out a million greens but ended up loving this super deep green with a lot of gray in it (versus being more teal or emerald). It’s not bright, but it’s deep and saturated. We thought about going white for the island or shaking up the uppers and lowers, but we liked how modern and simple (and dramatic) it felt to do the same color everywhere.”

INSPIRATION SIX – JENN FELDMAN DESIGNS

I had to include this kitchen designed by Jenn Feldman Designs. The lighter tone goes so well with the brass hardware and white walls. This color is called Castle Grey but it sure is green to me. I noticed that so many of the best greens were from Farrow and Ball!

INSPIRATION SEVEN – BEATRICE R HOLLAND INTERIORS

I try not to play favorites, but I think this kitchen designed by Beatrice R Holland might take the cake. The exposed brick with the olive tones and wood floors 😍 It’s simple a winning combination. This gives me all the European Farmhouse feels!

I LOVE this kitchen. Do I sound like a broken record yet? The vent hood perfectly framed by the marble shelf and glass cabinets is such a clean look. It has character and is so unique, but there’s no fuss here. One of those designs where you ask yourself “why didn’t I think of that?” I love Millie’s use of Minster Green with brass hardware. Amazing job Millie!

INSPIRATION TEN – CAITLIN FLEMMING

If you’ve ever browsed Pinterest for kitchen inspiration you’ve seen this beauty pop up. Pigeon is probably the “safest” green on this list because it almost looks gray but in other lights has a green undertone. I might have called is a safe color but done right it’s a bold design like you can see in Caitlin’s design. I love everything about it.

INSPIRATION ELEVEN – KELSEY LEIGH DESIGNS

In this kitchen, Kelsey Leigh Designs used dark countertops with green cabinets and light woods with white countertops on the islands. This combo is pretty magical. She has a similar setup to Millie Turner’s kitchen design, but with a fresh mix of accents. The mix of warms woods is really what caught my eye here!

I’ve been following Becky Daly on Instagram for a little bit and I love everything she posts. Here she used zellige backsplash tile for character and depth, wood shelves, and hood vent detail for warmth. Brass hardware to jazz it up and modern pendants to balance the rustic vibes. Can I move in?

This kitchen by Rudy Winston Design is stunning. On their portfolio, they call this style European Eclectic. This was actually the designer’s childhood home that they transformed this dreamy kitchen. Forest Floor is a deep green that definitely gives that European feel they described.

Right before I sold my last home this December we painted the cabinets sage green. It was such an easy DIY but made a huge impact. I finally felt like the kitchen was complete and was my style. Luckily the buyers loved the color.
