Fall Home Tour 2022 – Nature Inspired

We’re excited to share our fall home tour this year! Fall is our favorite time to lean into nature and bring in some cozy warm accents for the season. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

LIVING ROOM

The changes in the living room were simple. We added a variety of plumes in a demi-john-like vessel on the fireplace. All of these stems were from Hobby Lobby, but we have used others that looked similar in the past.

On the mantle, we placed a ceramic pumpkin from Target. Changes this small can add the perfect dose for a season change. We thought about placing pumpkins in front of the dough bowl over the TV but decided the simplicity was exactly what we were going for. Maybe we’ll try the pumpkins next year though!

We love bringing nature indoors so we cut magnolia stems from the tree in the front yard and put them in the bowl on the coffee table along with white pumpkins. You can never go wrong with white pumpkins in the fall especially a bunch of small ones.

KITCHEN

When decorating the kitchen seasonally we like to keep the countertops functional so we just place a few accents here and there. This is hosting season so it’s important to preserve your countertop real estate.

In the corner, we placed two faux pumpkins with a faux green plant. Above it, you’ll see a harvest theme that we thrifted months back. We also opened the cookbook to a fall recipe and put apples in the wooden bowl. Warm wood tones are perfect for fall!

On the island, we placed a pie with a butternut squash from the garden! We love decor we can EAT! Next to the sink, we put a sunflower which is always a fall favorite stem.

DINING ROOM

The dining room is our favorite spot to decorate seasonally. This 14ft table calls to be set for the fall. We placed blue pumpkins that we found at the Target dollar spot on top of blue dishes that we purchased at Pier One many years ago. People often ask for a link but unfortunately, they’re discontinued. We layered these on top of wooden chargers also from Pier One with glasses we found at Walmart.

One fun thing about this dining room is that we always decorate it with blue no matter what season, but it still always is different. Last fall also had blue but still had a completely different look.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

We recently just gave mom’s primary bedroom a refresh. You can see the room before here. It was not bad but mom had their headboard for over ten years and it was worn. It was also time to modernize it a little bit and the bed from the Rustic Warehouse did just that. If you’re in the Dallas/Forth Worth area you should definitely check them out!

We also added these AMAZING doors from Antiques & Vintage Texas. The scale of the doors is so hard to capture in photos but you can really see how tall they are in our video where mom stands next to them.
