Dream Backyard Tour with BloomingIvyLane: Pool, Screened Porch & Outdoor Entertaining Inspiration

Stephanie’s Backyard is a true DREAM. The pool, screened-in patio, outdoor kitchen, and even the pool bath—every detail is perfection. Today, we’re touring this gorgeous outdoor space, and I’ll share all the details we have!

Pool Design

Stephanie’s backyard has been a labor of love, especially her pool. After dealing with a groundwater issue that lifted the pool out of the ground, the pool has been under construction since January. Miraculously, it was completed the day before the citrus themed brunch we hosted together with other local home bloggers.

A Space for Family and Friends

Designed with her family and hosting in mind, Stephanie’s backyard is a hub for gatherings. With three kids, two in college and one in high school, she wanted a space where they and their friends would love to hang out. Their home also frequently hosts their church small group and friends.

Stylish Seating

The seating around the pool features the sweetest umbrellas with fringe detailing. The substantial umbrella bases from Ballard feel almost like an architectural feature, adding elegance to the space.

Screened-In Patio

One of the highlights of Stephanie’s home is the screened porch right off the master bedroom. This grand space features roll-down screens, a cozy fireplace, and overlooks the lush backyard. It’s perfect for all seasons, keeping cool in summer and cozy in fall.

Outdoor Kitchen

Stephanie’s backyard is designed with stations for dining, grilling, and playing by the pool. The stone behind the built-in grill with the outdoor vent hood looks amazing and could easily fit into an indoor design.

Hidden Entertainment

Beside the outdoor kitchen is a set of barn doors used in a genius way. When you open the doors, you’ll find a TV perfect for movies or sports games by the pool.

Artificial Turf Area

The artificial turf area, with its long tables and Southern charm, is perfect for hosting parties. It also doubles as a sports area with volleyball and spike ball setups.

Charming Pool Bathroom

The pool bathroom is a delightful mix of fun patterns and colors, perfectly complementing the outdoor spaces. The whimsical wallpaper adds a pop of color that works beautifully in a pool bath.

The hats hanging on the wall are a sweet detail that can be achieved affordably by hunting at estate sales, which Stephanie does regularly. We have a full video of us shopping at an estate sale with Stephanie—check it out!
