Dallas Modern Farmhouse Home Tour
It’s our first home tour of the year and we could not be more excited! We stumbled upon Lindsey on Instagram and were so excited when she said yes to a home tour. Lindsey graduated with a degree in journalism and moved to New York to work in magazines. She got her first job at Family Circle Magazine and was tasked to cover home decor. There she fell in love with home and later began her blog!
Lindsey’s home is a new build in the Dallas area. She thoughtfully chose each finish and chose furniture & accessories to complete her home sweet home. Below you’ll see photos of her home with shop links for statement items. When you’re finished scrolling through the photos you’ll see our vlog of our visit to Lindsey’s home!

Lindsey’s fireplace immediately captured my eye! I have a thing for vertical shiplap right now. It gives a modern twist to a classic wall treatment. I’m not a huge fan of TV’s over fireplaces. I’m not against a television, but it’s not the first thing I want to draw your eye to. Lindsey solves this problem with Samsung’s Frame! Our friend Ryan in a recent tour did this same thing and it totally solves the problem. I love that you can upload your own art and chose different frames. This light wood is my favorite I’ve seen. You never would have known it was a TV until she told us.

Lindsey’s home is an open concept. I love how each room has a distinct feature that compliments the space it opens up to. The pendants in the kitchen are in harmony with the chandelier in the dining room, but they both make a statement individually.
As you know, we’re fans of a two toned kitchen. The dark island anchors the space and draws your eye to those beautiful hardwoods.
SHOP THE LOOK
One of my favorite spaces in Lindsey’s home was her powder bath. I’ve seen tile like this in home and the prices shocked me. This artisan hand laid tile is called Zellige. In the United States, zellige is known as Moroccan mosaic tile, however, Morocco zellige (also zilij) is the term used for all types of terracotta tiles. This very popular style is trending, but often priced at $30/sq ft! Lindsey found a porcelain look a like in a Dallas show room and had them installed perfectly imperfect to give that look. She completed the look with gold plumbing under the sink which she shared was a process to order!
After we visited her powder bath we went upstairs to first see the Dalton’s master bedroom. This space is a boho minimalist dream if you ask me.
Their on-suite was stunning as well. I loved the concrete tile and the huge black framed mirrors.
Down the hall from the master we spotted a cute sitting area that lead to an office and the guest room. I love how they made use of the large area in the hallway to make a second living room.
