Cozy Coastal Farmhouse Home Tour – AI Interior Design

It would be impossible for me to design as many homes as I would like on a day-to-day basis. I mean, there’s only so much time in a day, BUT there is AI that can turn these ideas into what feels like a real home. Now, I know it’s controversial and not quite as gratifying as a “real home,” but it’s great inspiration when we need it.

Today, I proudly present to you the “Cozy Coastal Farmhouse Tour.” I wanted to see vintage elements, lots of millwork, and cozy textures. I’m not sure where the location of this stunning home would be, but it reminds me of some of the vacation rentals we book when we visit 30A. I invite you to tell me where it should be in the comments.

It’s worth mentioning that since it was designed using AI, none of the products physically exist. However, fear not, as we’ve hunted down similar items that you can explore and get inspired by. Disclosure: I earn a small commission on some links.

EXTERIOR

The home exterior features a classic and elegant “Cozy Coastal Farmhouse” design. It has white board and batten siding and a standing seam metal roof that is both beautiful and practical.

The front of the house is symmetrical, with a prominent central gable and a large window that adds height and visual interest. Flanking this central gable are two sets of French doors with matching side windows, providing plenty of natural light to the interior.

The landscaping is thoughtfully designed with a slate or stone walkway leading to the front doors, bordered by neat hedges, soft grasses, and well-placed planters with green foliage, creating a welcoming path. I love how the entrance of the home is tucked in, truly drawing you in. This design element is often seen in backyards, but I love it here for the front entry.

LIVING ROOM

The living room has exposed wood beams on the ceiling that adds warmth to the space, beautifully contrasting with the crisp white walls. Natural light floods the room through large windows with woven shades, creating a soft, diffused glow.

Comfortable slipcovered sofas and chairs in soft, neutral tones invite relaxation, while textured throw blankets and plush cushions provide layers of comfort. A simple wooden coffee table, topped with carefully curated decor pieces like books, bowls, and a vase with fresh greenery, anchors the seating area. Nothing better than a well styled coffee table.

There’s so much to love but I think my favorite is the fireplace with the coastal art topped on the mantle. My only wish is that AI would have tucked the jute rug under the sofa closets to the window. It’s the silliest details it doesn’t get right sometimes.

Kitchen

The kitchen cabinetry is painted in a soft, calming blue that perfectly complements the warm tones of the natural wood flooring. Woven rattan pendant lights hang above the island, adding a touch of texture and coastal flair while creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

The pendants look similar to ones we’ve rounded up in our Looks for Less List. If you’d like to see tons of great cost effective lighting and furniture with designer looks see the entire Looks for Less round up.

My favorite detail in the kitchen is the display of blue and white ceramic plates on the wall, bringing a pop of color and a nod to coastal tradition. Brass fixtures and hardware add a hint of sophistication, tying together the blend of natural elements and coastal charm. What’s not to love in this kitchen?

Dining Room

This home is rich in character and has dedicated spaces that beautifully flow into each other. Clearly this home owner has a thing for rattan and shiplap and can you fault them for including them in the design of the dining room.

The room is simply yet thoughtfully decorated, with a vase of fresh greenery at the center of the table that adds a touch of organic beauty. I love the gold chandelier with the linen shades. I can imagine myself enjoying a cup of coffee here.

Office

I love when homes make use of hallways and unconventional spaces as functional areas. I’m imagining this “office” as the hallway that leads to the mudroom or laundry room. It flows from the main living areas while also creating a dedicated space to focus without needing an entire room. It would be a great spot for dropping mail and leaving anything you need to remember to take on your way out of the house.

Powder Bath

I included cool tones throughout the house, balanced perfectly with warm tones from woods and rattan. This powder bath comes in with all warm tones while still remaining cohesive with the rest of the home. I feel like it’s officially a design rule that all powder baths must have wallpaper. Do the design authorities agree?

SHOP THE LOOK

I wish I could find a wallpaper closer to this one but I found a couple that would definitely create the same feel.

Guest Room Bedroom

I decided the guest room needed wallpaper too. This vibrant pattern is balanced by the soothing neutral tones of the upholstered headboard, which bring softness and texture to the bed.

Cozy layers of bedding in crisp white and deep blue create a welcoming and restful retreat, complemented by plush throw pillows that add a hint of color and comfort. The vintage door in view reminds me of something you’d find at one of our favorite local shopping spots, Antiques & Vintage in Forney, Texas.

Primary Bedroom

The primary bedroom captures a serene and inviting “Cozy Coastal Farmhouse” vibe, with crisp white shiplap walls that create a fresh, clean backdrop. The bed, dressed in soft white linens, is accented by plush blue and white pillows, adding a pop of color that feels both calm and sophisticated.

A series of botanical prints in warm wooden frames are arranged in a gallery style above the bed. A vintage looking rug in shades of blue and cream grounds the room, providing texture and pattern, while a wooden bench at the foot of the bed adds functionality and a relaxed, welcoming touch. Can we all be in agreement that someone needs to make this room “real”?
