Christmas Barn House Tour
I wish I could take every single one of you to visit Monika’s Farmhouse in person! I want everyone to experience the magic of this HOME. I just can’t emphasize the word home enough. She has created an atmosphere with the design that could make anyone feel at home. Her style is eclectic yet simple. You walk through the stables to enter her home, greeted by horses with jingle bells around their necks and an upside down Christmas tree. There’s so much sentiment in every detail of her home you know the family was the center of every bit of design. I don’t know if I could love a space more than I love this home.
When you walk outside the table is set for gatherings. Above the fire place sits a neon sign showing Vacancy as she awaits her children coming home for the holidays. A GIANT ginger bread man sits on top of the buffet behind the table!
She shares stories of the family that inspired her as we walk through her home—from the grandfather that inspired the yarn on the tree to the aunt who passed on her European flair.
This tour reminded me that creating a beautiful home is a journey, not a destination. It’s about meaningful home that YOU love. It’s an honor to live with beauty, creativity and the stories that inspire us. Creating this space allows us to inspire others to create in their unique ways.
This is what Monika has done. She has inspired me to make memories, cherish my family, make design choices because I like them, and to be bold and creative.
I hope you know this video and gallery of photos can no way do this home justice, but I hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me!
Happy decorating,
Thank you to my friend and photographer Lucy Krodell for touring this home with me and taking these amazing photos.
